Former President Donald Trump is making headlines again—this time for mocking Taylor Swift’s appearance and political influence.
In a recent Truth Social post, Trump wrote, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’” The comment, clearly aimed at the pop superstar’s popularity, stirred widespread criticism and became a talking point at a recent White House press briefing.

When pressed by Fox News’ Peter Doocy about Trump’s remarks, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt downplayed the jab, saying Trump was likely referring to Swift’s political views and how they’ve influenced her public image.
The comment wasn’t entirely out of the blue. In 2024, Swift denounced the use of fake AI images of herself in political ads promoting Trump’s campaign. Around the same time, she voiced her support for Vice President Kamala Harris during a live debate, clearly aligning herself with progressive values.
Swift’s political activism dates back to 2018 when she broke her silence on public issues, condemning systemic racism and discrimination, and speaking out against then-Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn.

Since then, she’s continued using her platform to encourage voter turnout and support equality.
While Swift hasn’t responded to Trump’s latest insult, fans and critics alike are watching closely. Given her history of standing up for her beliefs, many expect her to speak out when the time is right.
